Sarah Ball
Sarah Ball, Sc.D., is an Associate Director for Public Health and Epidemiology. She is an epidemiologist specializing in the innovative design and implementation of studies, complex data collection and management, and synthesis of research findings. With a background in maternal and child health, combined with more than a decade of experience in infectious disease, Dr. Ball’s experience spans both epidemiologic research as well as program implementation and evaluation.
Dr. Ball has planned and coordinated several multisite epidemiologic studies to examine vaccine effectiveness among high-risk populations, as well as implemented internet-based surveys to examine vaccination coverage and to better understand barriers to vaccination. She has also designed and managed evaluations of maternal and child health programs and provided technical assistance on best data collection practices for program monitoring and evaluation.
